“There are no police in Nigeria,” – Falz and Peter Okoye

Folarin Falana aka Falz and his colleague, Peter Okoye, have criticized Nigerian police for failing to protect citizens during the 2023 general elections.

Their attention was drawn to an attack on voters in Lagos state by thugs loyal to the state’s ruling party.

The gubernatorial election in Lagos State was marred by a high level of violence and intimidation, with many incidents taking place right in front of security personnel.

Falz tweeted in response to the chaos:

“I am so livid. This level of fuckery is unbelievable!

A couple of Arise TV journalists were very badly beaten up at my polling unit. OF COURSE, in the presence of Police officers!”

On the basis of which logic do you conclude that it’s okay to use force to get people to ‘vote’ for you ? All you supporters and enablers of this fxxkery are even more despicable. You know better, but you are EVIL at heart. You are VILE!”

Peter Okoye also joined the outrage and tweeted;

“We do not have police in Nigeria! All we have is thugs with uniforms! SHAME ON THEM!”
