A baby reportedly died after his drunken mother attempted to use a hair dryer to warm him up before dozing off.
The mother, Morgan Alyson Creel, 32, is presently being charged with second-degree murder.
The next morning, Morgan Creel called the emergency services after realizing her 6-week-old baby was not responding.
Following the arrival of the emergency services, the mother informed them that she attempted to use her hair dryer to warm her child but that she fell asleep.
After multiple attempts to resuscitate the infant, the police declared him dead. According to the incident report, on the back porch, officers discovered a “marijuana smoking apparatus.”
Creel was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance when the baby died.
Creel allegedly “…did cause cruel and excessive physical and mental pain by leaving a blow-dryer on, and blowing heated air near said child while said accused was passed out and under the influence of a controlled substance,” according to the indictment, obtained by the news outlet.
