Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has caused a stir online after she shared the video of her pet which is named “Burna Boy”.
The singer posted a video of herself with the pet dog, repeatedly calling its name.
Many netizens have reacted to the dog’s name because it is also the stage name of a popular Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu.
Teni can be seen lying on the ground and repeatedly calling the name of the pet dog in the video that has gone viral on Instagram.
“Burna, Burna Boy…” she can be heard saying. “Come on, come on. Hello, Bobo.” The pet dog came to her after she called it, playing with her and repeatedly licking her face.
Many people are perplexed as to why the dog was named after a popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy.
While some people find the video amusing, others believe that giving such a name to a dog is inappropriate because it appears to be disrespectful to the singer, Burna Boy.
