Student’s Apology Letter with Naira Note Goes Viral

A student’s apology letter to a teacher has surfaced online, sparking wide reactions from netizens due to the Naira notes attached. The letter, shared by @Olu-conquerrr on X (formerly Twitter), revealed the student’s sincere apology over a classroom mischief.

In the letter, the student apologized for playing football with empty cough medication bottles during class alongside other classmates.

“I not only plead for myself but for others who were directly or indirectly involved in playing with the bottle,” the letter reads in part.

The student also attached a 500 Naira note, writing:

“I put this little amount of money as a token for my plead for forgiveness. Please accept it and forgive is.”

Reactions from Social Media Users

Just Me remarked:

Boy way sabi book❌ Boy way sabi way✅. Watch that boy get an A+ in his results.”

Teye commented:

It’s good to apologize, but adding money is wrong.”

Lat Anifowosale added:

No leaders of tomorrow anymore. Those old cargoes no wan leave again.”

Rotimmy questioned:

First of all, what class is the student? Let’s see if she or he is a leader of tomorrow, because those paragraphs look like distance between the student and the teacher due to some issues.”

The post has ignited debates about the creativity of the apology, classroom discipline, and cultural views on attaching money as a form of apology.
