Rapper Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, better known online as Phyno, is upset about a social media post that pits him against longtime friend and fellow rapper Olamide.
An X (previously Twitter) influencer posted, “When it comes to rap, who is the GOAT? 🐞 Phyno or Olamide?” which ignited the debate.
Phyno addressed the matter quickly and angrily on his X account, denouncing the comparison and demanding an end to such contentious conversations.
Phyno’s response went viral right away, and fans and followers began to voice their opinions on the ongoing controversy about who in the Nigerian rap scene is the “Greatest of All Time” (GOAT).
He wrote, “Yo!!! Tf is wrong with u guys for God sake .. stop putting me up against my brother or anybody else for that matter. Do your banter with someone else .. na ala adi agba unu.. wtf.”
While many had joined in on the lighthearted banter, Phyno stressed the brotherhood and respect he shares with his peers in the industry and made it clear that he has no interest in being compared to Olamide or any other artist.
