Speed Darlington vows to fight back days following prison release

Embattled Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington breaks silence following his release from prison, where he was held for allegedly defaming Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy.

It should be remembered that the singer was arrested in the last quarter of 2024 and later rearrested, and his bail was delayed for almost two months.

Taking to Instagram following his release, Darlington posted a thought-provoking video that has captivated his fans.

The video shows a ferocious fight between two goats that are locking horns. Midway through the fight, one goat steps back momentarily, only to return with renewed vigour and launch a powerful counterattack.

Darlington provided a voiceover for the footage, saying, “Two bulls fighting, one steps back, it’s not running away, he went to gather energy and launched back with a banger.”

The video, captioned simply, “I am back,” has ignited widespread speculation among fans and followers. Many view the cryptic message as a metaphor for Darlington’s journey, interpreting it as a sign of his resilience and intent to come back stronger against Burna Boy.

His fans have since showered him with support with many referencing lyrics from his song where he said, “I’ve survived ground zero.”
