A Nigerian woman has ignited intense debate on social media after issuing a controversial warning to married women, urging them to treat their husbands well or risk losing them.
In a viral video making the rounds online, the lady described herself as financially comfortable but single, admitting that the pain of loneliness can push people into making questionable decisions.
“People like us have money but we don’t have husbands and we’re pained,” she said.
She went further to caution married women she believes do not appreciate their husbands enough, boldly claiming she would not hesitate to step into another woman’s marriage if given the opportunity.
“If you have a husband and you don’t know his value, I will collect him from you. You will just hear that I borrowed your husband for two weeks,” she added.
According to her, wives should treat their husbands “like kings” and accord them the respect they deserve, warning that failure to do so could make them vulnerable to other women “watching from the sidelines.”
Unsurprisingly, her remarks triggered a wave of reactions online. Many users condemned her statement, describing it as disrespectful and lacking boundaries.
One user wrote, “So because you’re single and rich, another woman’s marriage should suffer?”
Another commented, “This is not boldness, this is entitlement and lack of boundaries.”
However, a minority defended her, arguing that her comments reflect the emotional frustration some single women experience but are often afraid to voice publicly.
The video continues to trend across platforms, fueling conversations around marriage, entitlement, loneliness, and personal responsibility.
