Sabinus loses thousands of supporters over a “Caricature” video of Tinubu

Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, also known as Sabinus, is a popular Nigerian comedian and content creator. After posting a parody video of All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Twitter, Sabinus lost thousands of his followers.

The former governor of Lagos State has been involved in a number of controversies since he announced his intention to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Remember that Tinubu’s comments about the previous administration not paying for electricity made headlines weeks ago after his meeting with private sector stakeholders in Owerri, the capital of Imo State. However, what many people found concerning was the use of the word “corn” in the statement.

The Port-Harcourt-born comedian and a group of comics recently created a caricature version of the presidential candidate to amuse his audience at a recent show.

This humorous act incensed the APC flag bearer’s supporters, which led to a widespread unfollowing.

In response to the video, Bashir Ahmad, a presidential aide, called out the comedian and said that it was disrespectful to his boss.

Checks by this platform show that the comic internet sensation’s “following” has drastically decreased since the uploaded video first surfaced.
