Actress Rita Dominic has reacted to a critic who made fun of her for a movie role she starred in recently.
According to the X user, Rita Dominic’s brand has outgrown certain movie roles. The critic made fun of her participation in the reality show Lekki Wives, saying the actress was above that standard.
The post read, “There are certain projects your brand should outgrow, because why is Rita Dominic in Lekki wives or whatever it is called? Common.”
Rita Dominic replied that only those without creative integrity could speak in such a way, and she warned her colleagues never to pay attention to them.
She reminded them that their artistic expression shouldn’t be constrained by meaningless remarks and stressed the value of maintaining artistic integrity.
The movie actor believes that Nollywood celebrities shouldn’t put boundaries on their work; instead, they should embrace any opportunity to express their creativity.
She wrote, “Dear Actors, only people who have no single drop of artistic integrity speak like this. If you listen to them you will soon begin to believe you are more important than the industry that birth you.
“You are an ACTOR, so make sure to find a way or platform to release the creative energy in you. Continue to hone your skills regardless of empty comments like this cos knowledge is never-ending – yours truly, Rita.”
