Residents repaired the road that Yahaya Bello allegedly dug to prevent INEC from reaching certain areas (Video)

A video of Kogi residents repairing a road allegedly destroyed by state governor Yahaya Bello has gone viral, eliciting a variety of reactions.

According to online reports, residents repaired the road that Yahaya Bello allegedly dug to prevent INEC from reaching certain regions in Kogi State for elections.

It should be noted that the presidential and National Assembly elections were held yesterday, February 25th, 2023.

However, few hours ago, informations disclosed that Yahaya Bello destroys five roads leading to opponents’ hometown to prevent INEC officials.

The Kogi State Government clarified the excavation of some roads in Kogi Central on Thursday, saying it is a deliberate security measure to cut off traffic on those roads in order to limit the use of the roads by criminals who had been breaching the area’s peace, resulting in the loss of lives and property.

However, in the video that has gone viral, residents in large numbers decided to come together to repair the road with tractors so that INEC officials could come and do their jobs and the people of Kogi could exercise their civic responsibilities by voting.
