Panicked residents in Warri fled for their lives after a heavy downpour severely damaged a residential building, tearing off the roof, destroying the ceiling and leaving several rooms in ruins.
On the well-known social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, a post about the incident was shared.
The house’s roof is seen on the ground in the video, having been torn off by the storm.
Shortly after, the camera pans inside one of the rooms, spotting a lot of damage, including blocks that have fallen from the rooftop all over the floor.
The rain seemed to affect almost every area of the Warri building, although lower-level residents reported little to no disturbance.
Concerned users swiftly responded to the post, flooding the comment section with their ideas and condolences.
