Nigerians respond to the inclusion of Afrobeat musicians Tems and Rema on former US President Barrack Obama’s summer playlist for 2024.
The 44th president of the United States of America has made it a tradition to publish a list of his top songs of the previous year each year.
Only two singers were included on his honorable list this time, despite several Afrobeat artists having made it there over the years.
Tems’ incredible work on the popular song “Love Me Jeje,” which was featured on her most recent album “Born in the Wild,” earned her a spot on the list.
Barrack Obama also included Rema’s Yayo, which is featured on his most recent album, “HEIS,” in his playlist.
