Reactions as video of Nigerians in the United Kingdom chanting “Give Us Obi” goes viral online

A video that is currently circulating online shows several Nigerians in London chanting “give us Obi.”

It is no longer news that there have been some protests from opposition parties since the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was declared the president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In the early hours of Wednesday, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared the former governor of Lagos state the winner of the election after he polled more votes than his competitors, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant, Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar, and the Labor Party presidential aspirant, Peter Gregory Obi, who came third.

Following the declaration, some Labour Party members stormed Abuja to protest the election results.

However, a video of supporters of the former governor of Anambra state chanting Peter Obi’s name in London, UK, has surfaced online.

In the viral video, supporters stormed the front of the Nigeria High Commission in London to protest, chanting that all they want is Obi.
