Oladips, a well-known Nigerian rapper, has publicly accused Wizkid of intellectual property theft, claiming that Wizkid’s verse on Asake’s track “MMS” closely resembles his own lyrics from the 2022 album “Ajala Traveller.”
Oladips used a screenshot comparison to highlight the similarities between his lyric “I had to lose myself to find my purpose” and Wizkid’s corresponding line “Lost Myself, and I found my purpose.”
He expressed concern about the nature of the similarity, questioning whether it was a coincidence or an example of recycling, and urged Wizkid to respond.
This allegation has sparked a heated debate among fans and music enthusiasts, prompting many people to express their thoughts on social media.
