Producer distances self from P-Square’s feud, clarifies role in song theft

Nigerian producer Vampire Grace has released a statement separating himself from the ongoing conflict between Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) and Peter Okoye (Mr P), the twin brothers of P-Square, over the release of their song “Winning.”

Rudeboy claimed ownership of “Winning” and claimed that Mr. P had recorded the song “word for word” with the same producer, which rekindled the feud on Friday.

The brothers had gotten back together in 2021 after years of separation, but it looks like they are at odds again after this most recent altercation.

Vampire Grace clarified that he only helped with the song’s production and had no role in its subsequent release, in response to Rudeboy’s recent claims that his brother had re-recorded and released the song without his permission.

Taking to Instagram, Vampire Grace wrote, “I produced and recorded Winning for P-Square in 2022. I sent the stems to P-Square for mixing and mastering, got paid, and left Lagos. Two years later, one Square released the song. How is that my fault? Am I managing P-Square?”
