A Nigerian POS agent recently shared a startling story about how she authorized a ₦70,000 withdrawal for a customer, but the money stayed in the customer’s account even though her machine indicated that it was approved.
The pos agent described her experience in a post that has been trending on the social media site X (formerly Twitter).
According to her, two customers came into her store and asked for help checking their account balance.
One of them asked for a ₦70,000 withdrawal after verification, which she processed and gave to them.
But just minutes after the customers had departed, she found that her POS machine balance had not been updated with the ₦70,000.
She was so alarmed that she went straight to her brother for guidance, who helped her make sense of the situation.
In an effort to retrieve the money, she left her store, located the client, and confronted them at a different location. Thankfully, her perseverance paid off, and the ₦70,000 was eventually given back.
Concerned citizens responded to the post by flooding the comment section with their opinions and similar experiences.
