Drama erupted online after controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, publicly stripped the “wife” title from all women who have children with him, declaring that Bewaji is his one and only wife.
The singer made the bold declaration in a video shared online a day after the New Year.
In the video, Portable was seen exchanging heated words with some women, one of whom held him tightly by the shirt while angrily pulling at him.
Amid the confrontation, Portable stated that in the new year, he recognises only one wife, while every other woman he has been intimate with should be regarded as a baby mama.
According to him, Bewaji remains the only woman he acknowledges as his legitimate wife, stressing that the rest no longer hold that title.
His words in part:
“2026, it is one wife, baby mamas. Bewaji is my only wife, the rest of you are baby mamas.”
