Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, a Nigerian singer, has broken his silence after being granted bail by a magistrate court in Ifo, Ifo local government area, Ogun State.
It was previously reported that the Zazu singer was arrested on Friday, March 31, 2023, following an altercation with police officers at his bar on Thursday.
He was then arraigned in court this morning, April 3, on a three-count charge of assault and theft of musical equipment.
Portable’s lawyer, Adodo Destiny, had asked the court to release the defendant on bail.
Magistrate A.S. Shoneye ruled on his counsel’s application for bail, saying the offenses were bailable.
The court granted portable bail in the amount of N300,000 with two N300,000 sureties. The court ruled that both sureties must own land near the court.
The court, on the other hand, ordered that Portable be transferred to the Ilaro Correctional Center until his bail requirements are met.
Shortly after the court ruling, new photos of the singer were posted on his Instagram page, along with a caption thanking God.
“Alhamdulilahi.” He captioned the photos.
