Police van accidentally crushes a customer’s car during a car chase (video)

A police van was involved in a car chase that resulted in the crushing of a customer’s vehicle, according to a shocking incident captured on video and shared on Twitter by user @Naija_PR.

The unfortunate incident occurred when police officers mistakenly identified a mechanic as a “yahoo boy” (internet fraudster).

 The video footage, which quickly went viral on social media, shows a police van pursuing a vehicle on a busy street.

The police van collided with a parked car owned by a customer who had brought it to the mechanic’s workshop for repairs during the chase.

According to eyewitnesses, the confusion arose when the police mistook the mechanic, who was testing the customer’s vehicle, for a suspect involved in fraudulent activities.

The police, believing they were pursuing a criminal, engaged in a high-speed chase, resulting in the collision with the innocent customer’s vehicle.

Bystanders flocked to the scene, expressing shock and concern about the incident.
