One terrorist was killed while others fled with varying degrees of gunshot wounds, according to the Katsina State Police Command, which claimed it successfully repelled a terrorist attack on its Magama “Nipping Point” along the Jibia-Katsina Road.
From the attackers, one AK-47 rifle, four magazines holding 90 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, cash, and other items were found.
Two of the Katsina Police Command’s officers were hurt in the attack by the assailants, according to Isah Gambo, the spokesman who made this announcement in a press release on Monday.
The thugs who carried out the attack around 4:30 am on Monday were numerous, but were eventually brought under control by Gambo’s agents following a fierce gunfight.
In the statement, SP Gambo also mentioned that search teams are still scouring the area for terrorists.
