Petroleum marketers order a nationwide shutdown

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has directed its members to halt all operations across the country.

This was stated in a statement signed by IPMAN Chairman Mohammed Kuluwu on Tuesday.

He attributed the situation to “the critical situation as it affects our sourcing and selling of product at a loss, as well as the government’s action to impose the selling of fuel product at a loss on our side.”

VisioTalks has learned that the majority of filling stations in the nation’s capital is not dispensing fuel, leaving black marketers on the loose.

Despite government efforts to alleviate the situation, fuel scarcity has persisted in Nigeria.
