Pastor Shares Testimony of Former Guinness Executive Left Jobless After Church Doctrine Forced Resignation

A pastor has sparked widespread debate on social media after sharing a testimony about a man who reportedly lost a promising career after resigning from a top-level position at Guinness due to strict church doctrines.

According to the pastor, the man was instructed by church leaders to quit his job because, as a Christian, he was producing alcohol he was not permitted to drink.

How can a believer work at Guinness when you cannot drink what you produce?” the church reportedly asked him.

The man obeyed the instruction and resigned from his role. However, several years later, he is said to be unemployed, struggling to secure a new job as many companies now consider him overqualified.

The pastor cited the situation as an example of how rigid religious indoctrination can have long-term consequences on people’s careers and livelihoods.

In the same message, the pastor also shared the story of a young woman in the congregation who was taught that God would reveal her future husband to her through dreams. Although she claimed to have seen a particular man in her visions, the man did not reciprocate her feelings and eventually married another woman.

Reflecting on both cases, the pastor criticised blind adherence to doctrine without personal discernment, warning against allowing rigid religious teachings to interfere with real-life decisions.

Age 59, and you’re still under the siege of someone’s doctrine. The Word of God has to be rightly divided. This thing is a joke,” he said.

Social Media Reactions

The testimony has triggered intense reactions online, with many users sharing their views on religion and indoctrination.

@Kingsworld96: “And hypocrites are always common in this type of gatherings.”

@Friochico99: “Lol. These aren’t funny for real because it’s just true and they are happening for real!”

@DProf93: “Religion is the opium of the masses. Indoctrination is the most powerful weapon in the world.”

@RiczWill: “Tell me about Jehovah Witnesses then.”

@RichesAutos: “Finish is an understatement.”

The video of the pastor’s testimony continues to circulate online, fueling conversations about the balance between faith, personal judgment, and practical life decisions.
