The family of Sodiq Olayode, who recently welcomed quadruplets, has received a N5 million donation from Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola through his foundation (FOF).
Following an overwhelming show of support from Nigerians, who collectively raised over N19 million through online donations, this noteworthy contribution has been made.
Many people were moved by the Olayode family’s journey after their colleague Oyeniran James posted about their difficulties on social media.
The quadruplets consumed 105 diapers in just six days, according to James, who went by @jamysax on X (formerly Twitter). This revelation prompted an outpouring of sympathy and a deluge of donations.
The Femi Otedola Foundation, renowned for its humanitarian endeavors, gave the Olayode family a N5 million check on Monday.
The cheque was handed over by Philip Akinola on behalf of the foundation. Femi Otedola has also promised to fund two of the Olayode children’s university educations through scholarships.
James took to X (Twitter) to share the news, he wrote:
“Guyssssssssssssssssss, Guess what ???? ‘#realFemiOtedola sent representatives to offer a cheque of N5 million to the parents of the quadruplets and also offered scholarships for the education of two of their kids till University. I’m in tears, guys.’”
This generous donation follows a contribution of N2 million from Airtel Nigeria.
