Omah Lay accused a colleague of stealing album ideas.

Omah Lay, a Nigerian singer, has disclosed that after sharing the idea for his next album in the hopes of working together, another artist allegedly stole it.

Omah Lay was unfortunately forced to rerecord his own album because his colleague proceeded to release an album based on his idea.

On the Zach Sang Show, Omah Lay talked candidly about the unpleasant experience that derailed his imaginative plans.

The Soso crooner said …

“My song ‘Holy Ghost’ is a new sound. I was going to make the whole album with the new sound but along the line, I changed my mind.”

“I had to redo my album because I gave a certain artist an idea, and they went ahead and released an album incorporating my concept.

“He came to me and I accepted for us to collaborate. Of course, it’s an artist that I love. And I told him where I’m headed with the sound. Five months later, he put out an album with exactly all the same sound that I shared with him.

“I had to go back and remake my album which is actually going to be the greatest album of all time in Afrobeats history.”
