NYSC worker quits her job after being stuck in Lagos traffic for 8 hours

A young man revealed that a NYSC fresher quit her job after being stuck in Lagos traffic for 8 hours.

According to the Twitter user who shared the story, the NYSC staff who lived with a relative in Ibafo left home as early as 5:45am in order to beat the traffic, but the lady got stuck in traffic and arrived at the office around 2pm.

He revealed that the lady rushed to the canteen to eat, then typed her resignation letter, packed her belongings, and went home.

He stated on Twitter,

“A fresh-from-NYSC colleague staying with a relative in Ibafo left home around 5.45am with the aim of beating the Monday traffic, unfortunately she got to the office (Ikeja) around 2pm, looking all tired and frustrated. She went to the canteen to eat, then came back to her seat and napped for over an hour.”

“When she woke up, she brought out her laptop, typed her resignation letter, packed her bags and went back home. She’s currently unreachable on all platforms; I feel so bad for her because I totally understand how she feels.”

“This seems unbelievable, but you can call anyone that plied mowe-to-berger/otedola/secretariat earlier today and let them share their experience with you. Lagos traffic will sometimes make you sound like a liar!”

@Oluayo_01: After spending 5 hrs from Mowe to New garage just before Berger. I have to turn back to mowe because I know I won’t get to VI before 2 pm. It was crazy. The road construction pace is very poor.

@Eifemide: It’s believable o…. Very terrible thing

@quidwise: Lagos Ibadan traffic at the moment is nightmarish. I made a smart call and told my driver to park up in Ojodu, I took a bike to and fro my destination. Saved me minimum 5 hours

@Sun_shineDev: Leave them if they don’t believe. Pack to ibafo you’ll know what’s up. I live in Ojodu but thank God I go to work twice a week if not I for don collapse. Ojodu-Berger to obanikoro everyday no be beans.

Two months ago, I got home 12:30 am since 5pm I left work.

@parrticulars: 8th of April friend left VI at 2 30, he got to Oregun at nearly 7, if I wasn’t there I would have said he was lying, others turned back

@Dagreatfemi: 7 hrs to ikeja? Maybe less. I have colleagues that stay there and came to work around 10/11

@ade_odumesi: Forget about anyone that doubt this information….. No stress yourself.

They all have Google on their smart phone so it’s easy.

By the way, today’s traffic was caused by multiple accident shaa.

God help us all
