Nollywood actress Ini Edo responds to rumors that she might get married after making an exciting engagement post in September.
The actress gave many people the impression that she was engaged and getting ready for her wedding after she posted a picture of herself wearing a traditional Efik bridal gown. Rumors were stoked by her caption, which spoke of love and urged her followers to never give up on happiness.
But Ini Edo clarified the matter in a recent interview with Premium Times, saying that the post was actually a promotion for her upcoming four-part series, My Fairytale WeddingTM, rather than an announcement of an engagement.
When asked if she anticipated having a real-life fairytale wedding someday, the actress revealed that marriage is no longer a priority for her.
“I’m not crazy about marriage; I’m crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points,” Ini stated
It is worth noting that Iniobong Edo, who was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008 before their divorce in 2014, now focuses on building meaningful relationships rather than chasing the idea of marriage. Her comments have since put the rumours to rest while shedding light on her personal perspective on love and commitment.
