On Tuesday, members of the Nigeria Labour Congress national transition committee stormed the Labour Party headquarters in Abuja, demanding that National Chairman Julius Abure resign immediately.
Members of the labour union were led by Aduwaheed Omar, the acting chairman of the transition committee, to the secretariat where they chanted songs of solidarity and demanded Abure’s resignation on the grounds that his term as party chairman had run out.
