A Nigerian woman has set social media buzzing with laughter and mixed reactions after revealing how she caught her husband using a dating site—by turning the situation into a perfectly executed surprise.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the woman explained that she had repeatedly asked her husband to take her to a particular restaurant, but he consistently brushed off her requests.
Things took an unexpected turn when she later discovered that her husband was active on a dating platform. Rather than confronting him immediately, she decided to get creative.
Posing as another woman named Janet, she struck up a conversation with him on the app. The chats went on for a while, and soon enough, he suggested they meet up for a date—ironically choosing the same restaurant he had refused to take his wife to.
Recounting the incident, she said:
“We’ve been chatting for quite some time now, my name is Janet and his name is Dickson. There’s this restaurant I’ve been begging him to take me to, but he didn’t. So today, he decided we should meet up at this restaurant as his date.”
Unaware of the setup, the husband arrived at the restaurant expecting to meet his online date—only to be shocked when his wife showed up instead, accompanied by their children, ready to enjoy the outing he had planned for someone else.
The bold move, aimed at exposing his inconsistency and lack of attention at home, quickly went viral and drew widespread reactions online. Many viewers praised her confidence, humor, and calm approach to handling the situation.
Social media users couldn’t hold back their amusement. One commenter wrote, “This is the best way to disgrace cheating without shouting.” Another added, “So the dating site gets priority over the wife. Men are funny.”
