Nigerian man fumes as petrol price reportedly jumps to ₦1,025 per litre

A Nigerian man has voiced frustration over the rising cost of petrol after the price reportedly climbed to ₦1,025 per litre.

In a video circulating online, the man complained that fuel was about ₦900 just a day earlier before the latest increase. He expressed anger over the continuous rise in petrol prices despite Nigeria being an oil-producing country.

According to him, the steady increase — from around ₦200 in the past to ₦600, then ₦900 and now over ₦1,000 per litre — has placed a heavy burden on citizens.

The visibly upset man said the situation has pushed many Nigerians to their limits, adding that people should not be intimidated by threats of arrest when they express frustration over the economic hardship.

In his words:

“Na just yesterday I dey complain say the fuel na 900. Now na ₦1,025 for fuel, na him e don go now o. Everybody wey dey use us dey suffer, na God go punish una. For our own natural resources, from 200 to 600 to 900 now na 1,000.

If una wan arrest make una arrest, una go arrest tire. The frustration don too much. Are we cowards in our own country? Any small thing una don dey threaten people with arrest…”
