Nigerian Man Cries Out After ₦1M Disappears from His Zenith Bank Account

Zenith Bank has come under scrutiny online after a Nigerian man alleged that over ₦1 million was deducted from his account without his knowledge.

According to the man, identified as @leodey4u on X (formerly Twitter), he only discovered the debit six days after it occurred.

₦1.18 Million Deducted Without Explanation

In a post that has since sparked reactions, the X user shared a transaction receipt showing that ₦1,185,691.07 was debited from his account on February 6, 2026.

“I just logged in to my Zenith Bank app only to see that I was debited 1 million+ 6 days ago for what I don’t know 😭,” he tweeted.

The shocking revelation left many social media users stunned, especially considering the amount involved.

“This Is Not the First Time”

The man further claimed that this was not the first time money had allegedly gone missing from his account. He revealed that in December 2025, the bank deducted ₦6,701.83 in a similar unexplained transaction.

Clearly frustrated, he wrote:

This is actually not the first time they’re tampering with my money. Mumu, me still go dey put money in the bank? I don sha clear the account; they no fit see my penny AGAIN.”

According to him, he has since emptied the account to prevent further deductions.

As expected, the post triggered a wave of mixed reactions from other X users:

Clem asked, “They commot 1m for ur aza and you still dey alive?”

Vibez With King joked, “Una dey get upto 1m for akant, I think say all of us broke.”
