A Nigerian man, Morris Monye, has taken to social media to express outrage after discovering that some slices were missing from the pizza he ordered.
According to Morris, he ordered a full box of pizza from a popular restaurant but was shocked to find it incomplete upon delivery. Suspicious of the reduced quantity, he confronted the dispatch rider.
In a video shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Morris revealed that the delivery man blamed the missing slices on “gallops” encountered on the road — implying that bumps or rough patches somehow caused the pizza to lose slices.
Clearly unconvinced, Morris wrote:
“I’m livid.
Blaming ‘gallop’ but the slices are actually missing.”
Social Media Reactions
The incident sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing similar experiences.
@biggemglobal commented:
“People that open soup to collect meat? You never hear gist?”
@Uncle_Onos wrote:
“Bro! This is not new o. I have received delivery of soup without a single protein. Lol 😂”
@mz_sookiee shared:
“Lol, this brings back memories. I ordered catfish pepper soup, found only one fish inside. Delivery man say as e dey drive, the fish dey scatter inside 😩 I threw it all away.”
@Jollz added:
“Lmao sorry. I remember the day one delivery driver do this with my Suya. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. He ate more than half.”
Growing Concerns Over Food Delivery Integrity
The incident has once again raised concerns about food safety and accountability in Nigeria’s growing delivery sector. While food delivery services have become more popular and convenient, stories like these leave customers questioning hygiene standards and professionalism.
For many Nigerians, this isn’t just about missing slices — it’s about trust.
