Nigerian Lady Shares Funny Moment Husband Stayed Angry — But Still Finished Her Fried Rice

A Nigerian lady identified as Calabar Girlie has stirred reactions online after sharing a humorous experience about the first time she made her husband angry during their marriage.

Taking to her Facebook page, the woman narrated how she mentally prepared herself for tension in the house after their disagreement.

According to her, she had already concluded that her husband might refuse to eat the food she cooked because of the situation.

Despite expecting the worst, she still went ahead to prepare fried rice and chicken, although she believed the meal might end up untouched in the pot.

However, things did not turn out the way she expected.

The lady explained that when her husband returned home, he greeted her normally and continued his routine without any visible drama or confrontation.

Curious about what would happen next, she said she quietly observed him from a distance.

After washing his hands, her husband reportedly walked straight to the dining table and finished the entire plate of fried rice and chicken she had prepared.

The unexpected moment left her surprised and amused, especially because she had often heard stories about men refusing to eat whenever they were angry.

Sharing the experience, she wrote:

The first time I made my husband angry in this marriage, I was already preparing my mind that he might not eat the food. So I still cooked fried rice and chicken, but in my mind I was like, ‘Well… this food might just sleep in the pot today.’ 😭

My husband came back, we greeted normally. No long speech, no drama. He quietly washed his hands… and I was watching him from the corner of my eye like CCTV camera. 👀

Next thing — baba walked straight to the dining table. Before I could even finish my observation… this man finished the entire plate of fried rice and chicken. Not small oh. Clean finish.

Then he stood up and said, ‘Thank you.’ I just stood there confused.

So all those testimonies I’ve been hearing… na audio testimony? Say men no dey chop food when dem dey vex 😂😂

That was the day I realized something very important in marriage: My husband no send vex where food dey. Anger can wait… but fried rice and chicken must not waste. 🍗😂

I sha apologize 😂.”

Her story quickly drew reactions online, with many social media users saying the husband’s action was relatable.

Some joked that no matter how angry a man might be, good food often settles the matter first before any discussion happens. Others praised the husband for remaining calm and avoiding unnecessary drama in the home.
