A Nigerian lady has sparked widespread debate online after declaring that any man interested in her must be financially ready to spend between ₦5 million and ₦10 million within the first week of their “talking stage.”
In a viral video, the lady stated that financial commitment is her main yardstick for determining whether a man has the capacity to date or marry her. According to her, conversations without spending are a complete waste of her time.
“For me and you to be in a talking stage, you should be ready to spend at least 5 million to 10 million naira in the first week of us talking,” she said.
She argued that words mean nothing without financial action, questioning the relevance of casual chats about daily life or favorite foods when money is not being spent.
“A talking stage for me to know if you have the capacity to date me or marry me. If I’m talking and you’re not pressing money, what should I use your words to do?” she asked.
The lady further warned men who cannot meet her standard to seek relationships elsewhere, making it clear that she has no interest in managing or financially building a man.
Justifying her stance, she cited her looks, self-care routine, and educational background, stressing that she is intentional about her standards and unwilling to let anyone waste her time.
