A Nigerian lady has sparked widespread reactions online after a story emerged detailing how she ended a relationship with her financially struggling boyfriend to marry a wealthy man—only to later help her ex get back on his feet.

According to the post, the couple were deeply in love at the time, despite the man still serving his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and struggling financially.
While the relationship was ongoing, the lady reportedly caught the attention of a senior staff member at a major telecommunications company. The man was financially stable, wealthy, and ready for marriage. Faced with a life-changing decision, she accepted his proposal and ended her relationship with her NYSC boyfriend.
She eventually married the wealthy suitor, and her life reportedly improved drastically. She was said to have lifted not just herself but her entire family out of financial hardship.
The breakup, however, deeply affected her former boyfriend, who was devastated after learning she had married someone else.
