A man has sparked conversations online after sharing his experience with a neighbour he had generously allowed to use his WiFi for several months.
According to the man, he initially shared his internet connection to help his neighbour stay connected, but tensions arose after he requested access to their Netflix account.
“I shared my WiFi with him for five months without any issues. Today, I asked to be added to their Netflix, and he said it’s his wife who pays for it and she refused,” he explained.
Feeling taken advantage of, the man decided to cut off his neighbour from the WiFi, prompting an awkward confrontation.
“After I disconnected them, he had the audacity to come to my door and ask why I did it. I couldn’t believe it,” he said, noting the frustration of being generous without boundaries.
The man reflected on the situation, stressing the importance of clear limits when it comes to sharing resources with neighbours.
“Sometimes, kindness can be mistaken for weakness. I learned that you need to set boundaries, even with people you trust,” he said.
