Borno South senator Mohammed Ali Ndume has reiterated his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying he will stick with the party as long as Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the governor of Borno State, is a member.
On Thursday, July 25, Ndume made this statement at his Maiduguri home in front of a group of female supporters who had promised to hold a nonviolent demonstration at the National Assembly to protest his dismissal as Senate Chief Whip.
He said;
“In response to the APC National Working Committee’s (NWC) demand that I quit the party and join another political organization, I would like to clarify that power belongs only to God and can be granted to whomever He pleases.
“And so, I want to categorically state that I am one of the founding members of the APC. Our Leader, Governor Zulum, is in APC, and wherever our Governor is, that is where I belong.”
