A man from Nigeria claimed that he spent a large sum of money on a few necessities for his home.
He listed the items he had bought, which included a loaf of bread, fresh tomatoes, eggs, a tin of milk, and fuel.
Israel Obinna Ugwu claimed to have spent N8,100 in just five minutes. In particular, he set aside N1,000 for fuel, N2,000 for tomatoes, N600 for eggs, N3,000 for milk, and N1,500 for a loaf of bread.
The man thought about how N5,000 would have covered a week’s worth of expenses in 2013.
“In five minutes, N8,100 naira just left my pocket,” he said. I was able to run 5k for an entire week in 2013. No problem. Very tough. The way money leaves you and how little of it comes in ehn”
A lot of the people who saw the post commented with their personal experiences with spending.
