A Muslim man has gone viral on social media after sharing a heartwarming experience of interfaith kindness during the Christmas season.
The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @IU_Wakilii, revealed that a Christian stranger surprised him with a Christmas food package containing jollof rice, chicken, and a locally made drink, zobo.
According to him, the gesture followed a post where he encouraged Christians to reciprocate the kindness Muslims often show by sharing food with their Christian friends during Sallah celebrations. Shortly after the post, a Christian man—who had never met him—reached out and offered to send him a Christmas meal as a sign of goodwill and unity.
Sharing his excitement online, the Muslim recipient admitted he was so thrilled that he couldn’t wait to get home before eating the food.
He wrote:
“I made this tweet, and a Christian brother who didn’t know me from Adam reached out to me and offered to send me Christmas rice and chicken; he even added zobo. Had to finish one lap on my way because I couldn’t wait to reach home. Thank you very much, my bro @Oriafarrell1. Dear Christian friends, please learn from him—your Muslim friend give am rice!! And next year please don’t forget to add coleslaw sir. Yes, I am a beggar with choice.”
Photos of the food package quickly gained traction online, drawing massive engagement from users who praised the act as a powerful reminder of love, generosity, and unity beyond religious differences. Many described the moment as a refreshing example of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
