“Murphy Afolabi owes me N1.4 million,” a Nigerian woman claims (Video)

A Nigerian businesswoman has claimed that the late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi owed her a large sum of money before his untimely death.

The woman revealed this during the Firdau Prayer held in memory of the late actor on Monday, May 22nd, 2023, in Lagos State.

As the event progressed, the woman bravely stood up and informed the Islamic clerics present about her business dealings with the deceased actor.

She stated that she had a business transaction with Murphy Afolabi for N1.4 million, which he had failed to pay before his death.

When asked about her intentions and how she planned to resolve the situation, the woman revealed that a committee had already been formed to recover the funds owed to the late actor’s family.

While the specific nature of the outstanding debt and the details of the business transaction were not disclosed in the report, the woman’s assertion during the solemn ceremony highlights her determination to seek what she believes is rightfully owed to her.

As word spread, video footage of the woman’s remarks during the Firdau Prayer ceremony circulated online.

The video supports her claim and has sparked interest and debate among Nollywood fans and the general public.

It remains to be seen how the committee formed to address the issue will go about recovering the owed funds and negotiating a settlement with the late actor’s family.

uriel_shantel: What is the need to come out and say this

searching_news_: She should just forget it 😢

ebaycarder: Na Purple She Wear Abi? Are you pondering what am pondering? 🙄🤔

deekaytee_xx: But if na she owe him will she talk smh

itz.sumptuous: Not bad in Islam. It’s a way of relieving the Dead off his burden. However, the woman may voluntarily wishes to let go of the money but not compulsory. If she chooses otherwise, then the family must sort the debt out of the estate he left behind after the claim has been vividly evident and verified.🕊️

nicca_kemz: So in Yoruba land, don’t know about others Yoruba and tribe o, at a deceased burial, they will ask if he owes anyone or anyone is owing him

The person either forfeit it or say they will collect it, any which way, it has to be announced there and there and if anyone owes the deceased, the person has to pay unless the family decides to forfeit it

empressinteriors1: Oh it’s a normal thing in islam? I just learnt something new today. See me rushing to CS with vex.

precious_nonso_eze: Let her go to where he is now to collect her money.

Atleast, he can pay her with interest sef.

notvalid_at_all: Nothing is bad or wrong here, as a Muslim, they will even ask that people he owe should speak up so they can pay them, so he won’t have debts hanging around him in heaven, ask people that knows
