A Nigerian woman and her daughter have been taken into custody after the mother allegedly persuaded her daughter, a POS agent, to steal her employer’s money. Reports suggest that the pair intended to use the stolen funds to escape to Lagos.
The incident came to light through a viral video shared on TikTok. In the footage, bystanders can be seen detaining the mother and daughter after catching them in the act.
According to the video’s caption, the mother influenced her daughter to misappropriate the money meant for POS transactions. Their ultimate goal was to use the funds for their journey to Lagos.
The caption read: “A mother sent her daughter to steal the money her boss gave her for POS transactions. The girl and her mother planned to use the stolen money to travel to Lagos. She was caught today while trying to board a vehicle to Lagos. This matter is deep. 
”
