A mother has shared a heartbreaking story of losing her newborn baby just hours after receiving a congratulatory letter from her sister.
A video that was uploaded to her TikTok page shows the distraught mother reading the touching letter in a composed manner, oblivious to the impending tragedy.
Her newborn son tragically died just hours after she received the letter, as the heartbreaking video reveals.
She captioned the video: “Reading this letter, not knowing my son would die the same day.”
In response to inquiries about the cause of her baby’s death, she explained, “Laid him on his stomach, which caused SIDS.”
The letter from her sister, filled with love and blessings, read in part:
“Good morning. I heard you gave birth to a bouncing baby boy—congratulations! I wish you well and pray that all your heart desires come true. How is your business? I hope you are making lots of profit.”
“How is my in-law? I hope he is doing well too. The purpose of my letter is to congratulate you. Motherhood is not easy, but I’m sure you are proud to be called a mother. I wish you and your baby a lifetime of joy. Once again, congratulations.”
“This baby will bring happiness to your life and prosper in all he does. Where others struggle, he will thrive. He will live to achieve great things, and you will live to witness his success.”
“Everything you invest in his upbringing will be repaid in abundance. He will make you proud, and I know you love me just as I love you. I am so happy that we finally have the baby boy we always wished for.”
“May God continue to provide for you so you can raise him the way you desire. You will never lack. Stay strong and keep smiling no matter what comes your way—it’s your time to shine. Extend my greetings to everyone at home, and please don’t forget to reply to my letter.”
