A lady’s wig suddenly caught fire during a Crossover service, causing a dramatic incident that briefly confused her and her sister.
The woman, known on social media as @otas_jhene, described going to the service with her sister to celebrate the New Year in a now-viral video.
During the service, she unintentionally held a lit candle near her wig while they were recording. Upon yelling “Happy New Year” as the clock struck midnight, the flame jumped onto her wig and ignited it.
Online comments were mixed with laughter after the startling incident was caught on camera. Many made jokes about the wig’s inevitable “remaining in the past year,” while others chastised her response and said she ought to have taken it off right away for safety.
Despite the tumultuous moment, the woman and her sister are said to have escaped unharmed, prompting social media users to discuss the event and offer amusing perspectives.
