Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, is a well-known Nigerian afrobeat singer. In 2022, ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ announced the highest-charting debut Nigerian album on Billboard.
The music chart data confirmed this on Thursday in a Twitter update.
“In 2022, @asakemusik’s ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ became the highest-charting debut Nigerian album of all time on the Billboard.”
The 12-track album debuted at number 66 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting start for a Nigerian album, and at number two on the Billboard World Album Chart.
The number-one album in Nigeria in a matter of hours after its release on the 8th of September 2022 was the chart-topping album.
The album’s first week of availability saw it among Apple Music’s top 1–10 songs. It was released in the latter half of 2022.
