Actress Mercy Johnson has encountered significant criticism after endorsing Senator Monday Okpebholo in the run-up to the Edo State gubernatorial election.
The actress, whose spouse is an Edo State politician, was spotted supporting Senator Okpebholo, an APC candidate for Edo State governor, at a political rally in Ward 6 Irruekpen, Esan West LGA.
In the viral video, Mercy Johnson encouraged women to talk to their husbands and children about voting for the candidate.
Internet users are outraged by this and call her callous, given the hardships in the nation, for making such a comment.
