Nigerian reality star, Mercy Eke, takes to social media to lament bitterly about the imminent closure of Heritage Bank, claims she has over N100 million with them.
Only recently, the CBN announced their decision to revoke the banking license of Heritage Bank.
This came after reports that the bank was struggling financially for over 5 years now as well as dealing with a lot of bad loans.
Only recently, the CBN, under the leadership of Yemi Cardoso decided to finally revoke their license.
Mercy Eke who has an account with the bank revealed she heard the news before but was unwilling to accept the new reality.
She claimed that during her time in the BBN house, they were advised to open an account with them to receive their winnings.
Since then, she put some of her savings there since she had no idea the bank was struggling financially.
Although the NDIC has promised to pay customers who have less than N5 million their money in the next one week, customers who have more will have to wait until the bank assets are liquidated to receive theirs.
