A British woman who married a young Nigerian man has responded to assertions that she is elderly and going through menopause.
The British woman, who went by Mama Yara Naija, blasted social media critics who said she was married for documents by her Nigerian husband.
The British woman asserts that she is not yet in the menopause phase and that she is still in her prime and contented years with her spouse.
“You say I’m old, well actually, I’m perfectly within my prime years. You say I’m rejected, well actually, since the age of 15 I’ve only been single for 8 months after my divorce, then I met Chief, so who is being rejected,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, April 21.
Some of you have got stuck on an idea that all African men are marrying oyibo women for papers, while some of them may well choose to do that it doesn’t mean all multiracial marriages are the same.
Some, like myself and my husband. are building a life together, expanding our family and bringing them all together to be happy and united. I may not be in my twenties anymore but I am still within my lovable, happy and fertile years.
“Menopause has not come for me yet and won’t be coming any time soon. Thank you very much to those that love and support us. I don’t particularly like addressing negativity but sometimes we have to speak up to teach an important lesson to those that need it 
peace and love.”
