A bridesmaid has sparked debate online after openly warning women against marrying men who are not financially buoyant, following her experience at a friend’s wedding ceremony.
In a viral video, the bridesmaid was seen seated in a car alongside other bridesmaids, all dressed in outfits matching the wedding’s colour theme. While chatting, she advised unmarried women to avoid poor men, stressing that financial instability could prevent them from having their dream wedding.
According to her, a man without money would struggle to meet the expectations that come with weddings and married life.
Other bridesmaids in the car echoed her sentiments, with one boldly stating that she would choose money over love when it comes to marriage. When a male voice cautioned that marrying solely for money could lead to abuse, the women quickly dismissed his claim, insisting otherwise.
Emphasising her stance, the bridesmaid said, “A poor man cannot give you your dream wedding. If you like, marry for love.”
