Man Shocked After Woman Uses ₦1.1 Million Business Money for “Correctional Surgery”

A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after sharing his surprise and frustration over how a woman he was romantically interested in spent money he gave her.

According to his account, he had given the woman ₦1 million after they had built a connection and were getting closer.

“I gave this girl N1m. Actually, we already got talking and I like her. We already flow with each other, so giving her the money was not a problem,” he said.

He explained that the money was meant to support her plan to start a business, which he genuinely believed in.

However, things took an unexpected turn when he received a call from her friends informing him that she had undergone a “correctional surgery.”

She said she wanted to start a business and I believed in her. But now her friends rushed and called me that she did correctional surgery, she is not feeling okay, and she can’t sit down,” he added.

Despite the shocking revelation, the man said he still went ahead to support her further by sending an additional ₦100,000.

This girl still called me later, and I gave her extra N100,000 because I thought I should do everything for my potential babe.”

Clearly upset, he questioned the situation and the justification for the procedure.

Person carry business money, N1.1m do ny@sh con dey call am correctional surgery. Them dey correct ny@sh? Shey me that gave her the money, I no know wetin I wan use am do?” he lamented.

Reactions Online

The story has triggered mixed reactions across social media, with many users weighing in:

Some blamed the man:

Many argued that giving such a large amount of money to someone he wasn’t officially in a relationship with was risky.

You invested without agreement, now you’re surprised? Lesson learned.”

Others criticized the woman:

Some users felt the woman was dishonest for not using the money as agreed.

If it was for business, she should have been upfront. That’s not fair.”

A few defended her choice:

Others pointed out that once the money was given without conditions, she had the right to use it as she pleased.

“A gift is a gift. You can’t control how she spends it after.”

Some turned it into humor:

As expected, many Nigerians reacted with jokes.

Na investment in ‘y@sh industry’ be that. High returns incoming.”

“Business na business… just different kind.”
