A man on X, identified as @kenkenlewu, recently shared a story about a couple in his neighborhood that has gone viral, racking up over 1.5 million views.
According to him, the wife has a habit of changing the padlock whenever she and her husband quarrel or if he comes home late. This time, she locked him out for over two hours, ignoring pleas from neighbors to let him in. Eventually, another neighbor had to accommodate him for the night.
The next morning, the husband returned with a truck, packed all his belongings, and left. That was when the wife started shouting and calling on neighbors to plead with him not to go — but this time, nobody answered.

“There’s a married woman in my compound who has this habit. Anytime she quarrels with her husband or he comes home late, she changes the padlock and refuses to open the door for him.
Yesterday, she locked him out for over two hours. We all came out to beg her to open the door—neighbours, everybody. She refused. Eventually, one neighbour had to accommodate the man for the night.
This morning, the man went out and came back with a truck. He packed all his belongings and left. That was when the woman started shouting and begging, calling on all of us to come and help her plead with him not to go. This time, nobody answered her.”
