Using CCTV footage, a Nigerian man who had misplaced his power bank at a restaurant was shocked to learn that a woman had stolen it and hidden it inside her food pack.
The man posted about the incident on the social media site X, which was formerly known as Twitter.
In his post, he described how, while buying food at the well-known restaurant Kilimanjaro, he had unintentionally left his power bank on the counter.
When he realised it was gone, he went back to the restaurant and asked the manager for assistance.
After the manager consented to watch the CCTV footage, the shocking reality emerged: a woman who had also come to order food covertly wrapped the power bank in her takeaway bag before heading out.
Sharing the footage and his experience online, he wrote:
“Today at Kilimanjaro, I forgot my power bank at the counter after paying. I went back after eating and it was missing.”
“I called on the manager, asked him to replay the CCTV—only to see that a matured babe wrapped it inside her food pack and left with it. What’s wrong with people?”
